Your privacy matters to us, and discretion is part of the service. This policy explains what personal information TAPPINN LTD collects through www.tappinn.co.uk (the “Site”), why we collect it, and the rights you have over it.
1. Who we are
TAPPINN LTD (“Tappinn”, “we”, “us”) is the controller of your personal information. We are registered in England and Wales under company number 17479414, with our registered office at 11 Searing Way, Tadley, RG26 4HT, England. You can contact us about privacy at hello@tappinn.co.uk.
2. What we collect
- Your email address, when you request access or join our waitlist, along with which form you used and when.
- Anything you send us, if you email us directly, such as your name and the content of your message.
- Basic technical information, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you request. Our hosting provider records this automatically to deliver the Site and keep it secure.
We do not use advertising or analytics tracking on the Site. See our Cookie Policy for details.
3. How we use it, and why

We will never sell your personal information, and we will not send you marketing unrelated to Tappinn.
4. Who we share it with
We only share your information with service providers who help us run the Site, under contracts that require them to protect it:
- Netlify, Inc., which hosts the Site and stores waitlist sign-ups.
- Namecheap, Inc., which manages our domain and forwards email sent to our address.
We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect our rights or the safety of others.
5. International transfers
Our providers are based in the United States, so your information may be processed outside the UK. Where this happens, we rely on recognised safeguards, such as the UK Extension to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or the UK International Data Transfer Addendum, to ensure your information remains protected to UK standards.
6. How long we keep it
We keep waitlist details until you become a member, ask to be removed, or for 24 months after your last contact with us, whichever comes first. We keep correspondence for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry. Hosting logs are kept by our provider for a short period for security purposes.
7. Your rights
Under UK data protection law, you have the right to:
- access the personal information we hold about you;
- have inaccurate information corrected;
- have your information deleted;
- withdraw your consent at any time, for example by asking to leave the waitlist;
- object to, or ask us to restrict, how we use your information;
- receive your information in a portable format.

8. Keeping it safe
The Site is served over an encrypted connection, and access to waitlist data is restricted to the people at Tappinn who need it.
9. Children
Tappinn is intended for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
10. The Tappinn app
This policy covers the Site and our waitlist. When the Tappinn app launches, it will process more information to provide the service, including your preferences, your Taste DNA and your bookings. We will explain this fully in an updated privacy policy before you start using the app.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed, and we will tell you about any significant changes.
12. Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please contact us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
